General Marketplace Rules

Please familiarize yourself with the following set of rules before posting in this forum. These rules must be strictly adhered to. Failure to do so will result in your post being locked. If a user repeatedly fails to follow the rules of this forum further action may be taken.

1. Before posting in this forum you are required to read the General Supplier Policy

2. Users are required to follow US law in addition to their local laws. Any post found in violation will be locked.

3. No abuse of the selling policy. We will not permit the continual selling of numerous (similar or identical) items. Abuse of this policy will result in administrative action and/or the loss of selling privileges.

4. This forum may not be used to solicit for any type of referrals, this includes all affiliate programs and "Free iPod" type offers.

5. Do not bump your own thread within a 48 hour period. It's not fair to the other members who are trying to conduct trades also. If you bump your own thread within the 48 hour period...you will recieve a Warning in that thread. If you continue to bump the thread after being Warned...the thread will most likely be closed by one of the Marketplace Moderators. If you need to add or remove items from your post...Please edit your original post or last post to avoid getting a Warning for bumping your thread.

6. All auctions are to be no longer than 7 days and are required to have an end date and time posted.

7. No flaming of others or slanderous behavior.

8. Threads offering/requesting any spores for users in California will be closed. Threads offering/requesting psilocybe spores for users in Georgia will be closed. Threads offering/requesting psilocybe spores for users in Idaho will be closed.

9. Moderators will close threads at their sole discretion.

10. All transactions in The Marketplace are at your own risk. The Shroomery will not be held responsible for refusal of payment for goods/service pertaining to any sale, contest, or trade. We encourage users to utilize the "View Ratings" feature located at the bottom of each user's profile to leave dynamic ratings regarding a transaction. You can view a user's feedback through this feature to help gauge their reliability - but if you don't participate in rating people, it won't work!

11. This is not a vendor forum, please do not treat it as such. The sponsor forum is the only forum where a vendor is permitted to introduce products.

12. If you have ANY questions regarding these rules or if you're unsure if your item is appropriate, please PM a moderator.

13. Threads offering/requesting any salvia (extracts, plant material) for users in Delaware, Missouri, or Oklahoma will be closed due to recent changes in the specific state laws.

We don't allow trading of Amanita muscaria on the website. We feel there is just way too much risk of inexperienced hunters picking a poisonous mushroom and trading it as it being an Amanita.

Contest, Raffle and Give Away Rules

These rules must be strictly adhered to. Failure to do so will result in your Contest being locked or deleted.

All contest prizes must adhere to the General Supplier Policy


1. All contests must have a start and end date.
The maximum contest duration must not be more than 14 days.

2. All contests must state exactly what the prizes are.

3. All contests must state any limitations, shipping, etc.

4. No contest coming soon announcements, either start a contest or don't bother posting until you have one.

5. Contest end date must be posted in the thread title.
A mod will close the contest thread one week after the end date. This should give ample time for a thank you and congratulations, etc.

6. Any contest with the obvious goal of flaming another registered member of this site will not be tolerated...and will be closed ASAP.

7. No signature contests of any kind!
No requests on the users about putting anything in their signatures, avatars, or anywhere in their profile.

Selling of merchandise by non-vendors *MUST READ*

It has come to our attention that there *may* be some covert sellers in the marketplace.

*IF* you are selling any product which our paying sponsors are selling, you are breaking a rule. If it happens to work out that you end up taking cash for something like a syringe, it must be a chance happening. If you are caught intentionally selling, you may be banned from our community. We are keeping a watchful eye out, and receiving reports.

Our sponsors pay in order to support the shroomery and its bandwidth, not to mention regular upgrades in hardware. By undermining the sponsorships, you are harming the community as a whole, and this will not be permitted. We would like to encourage all the members here to refrain from supporting third party vendors that take needed money away from this community.

If you are interested in sponsoring the site, contact an administrator for details. A common spore-related sponsorship runs at $200/month and includes a 468x60 banner ad along with the privilege to advertise a text link in your signature as well as in appropriate threads.
